Wickham Elementary won the 3rd K-6 place at the Weber chess
As predicted, Wickham school achieved a major recognition at the Weber chess tournament.
Wickham team got a total of 10 trophies and the 3rd place for K-6 team. There was a total of 118 players. This document gives you a closer look at the details and the amplitude of this achievement.
First, for those of you who do not know our competitors, Lincoln and Weber have the 1st and 2nd ranking state wide! ( http://www.press-citizen. com/article/D5/20120214/ NEWS01/120214004

At Weber tournament, Weber came 1st with 15 points, Lincoln came 2nd with 12.5 points and Wickham came 3rd with 12 points.
However, looking at the age group of each school, Wickham's win came from a younger age group. The tournament rule was to pick the top 3 players of a team.
Team scores :
Cole and Akash were also present but left early.
I could not get their final results.

These results above are consistent with the ICPL tournament of November 2011 where Anish, Rudy and Dillon won also the same prizes too.
